STATEMENT OF BELIEFS |
We believe that there is one true and living God. (Deut 6:4, Ps. 83:28; Is. 43: 10, Eph. 4:6)
We believe that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit together make up the Trinity, and that they are one in substance and purpose, but three personalities different in function. (Matt. 28:19; Luke 3:22; Col.12:9; John 1:1; John 16: 7-14)
We believe that God the Father has revealed Himself through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, and continues to reveal Himself through the Holy Spirit. (John 15: 16;Col. 1:15; John 1:1)
We believe that Jesus Christ was born in the flesh of a virgin and that he was both fully human and fully God, and that He is to be worshiped as the Son of God. (Luke 3:22; John 1:14; Matt. 1: 18; Romans 1:3-4)
We believe in the divine inspiration and authority of the Holy Scriptures (The Bible). (2 Tim 3:1617; 2 Pet 1:19-21)
We believe that salvation is a free gift of God's grace, and cannot be earned. (Eph. 2:8; 1 John 1:9)
We believe that Jesus promised and sent the Holy Spirit into the world to convict the world of sin, and to empower believers. (John 16:8; Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8)
We believe in the power of the blood of Jesus Christ to sanctify and cleanse believers from all sin. (1 Peter 1:18,19; Heb. 9:13, 14; I John 1:7; Rev. 1:5)
We believe Jesus was rejected by men and suffered death by crucifixion on the Cross, bearing in His body our sins, yet was without sin Himself. (Isa. 53:4-5; John 1:29; Luke 10: 16; 2 Cor. 5:21; Heb 4: 15)
We believe that Jesus rose by the power of the Holy Spirit on the third day after His death on the Cross, triumphing once and for all over Satan, hell and death, and that no one can be saved by any other way than by faith in His finished work on the Cross. (Rom 6:4;Phil 2:9-11; Romans 6:5-10;Acts 4:12)
We believe that Jesus appeared to over 500 eye-witnesses at once, and then ascended to the right hand of the Father (Acts 2:32, 33; 1 Col 15:6)
We believe that the Christian Church as the Body of Christ, though made up of many members, is one, and that Jesus will return for a church without blemish or wrinkle. (1 Cor. 12:20; Eph: 5:24-27)
We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ and the eternal fellowship with Christ of all those who are born again. (Acts 1:11; 1 Thes. 4: 13-18; Matt. 24:30)
