WESTERN KENYA, NOVEMBER 2005
Approximately one year after our initial ministry trip to Kitale, Western Kenya, in 2004, once again we were impressed by the Lord to venture forth into the region He had opened up to us just one year ago. Here is a brief report with photos at the bottom of this article. The story continues......

There were many highlights and precious moments for the team during our ministry in Kenya. Some of them were:
*Being able to spend time with and come to know better some of our
Nurture Network ministry leaders such as Albert and Christina Onyango, Charles Otieno and Maurice and Benter Odhiambo.*Conducting a one day teaching conference for women, encouraging them in terms of their Kingdom equality, and moving with the Spirit as He ministered healing and a new infilling for several of the women;
*Challenging, exhorting and equipping Kenyan Christian leaders, both men and women, as we taught them about the Divine Personality of the Holy Spirit, the Nature and Definition of Five-Fold Servant-Leadership, the Interaction of the Spirit and the Word, Moving from Called to Chosen to Faithful, and Honouring the Anointing.
*Unexpectedly meeting and visiting with a team of pastors who are reaching out and ministering to street children in the town of Kitale, through rehabilitation, education and the provision of safe group homes for these needy children. What a special blessing it was to meet with many of these former street children and witness the work being done in the love of Jesus by these pastors and their families. One little girl, now 18 months old, was found nearly dead thrown away in a grassy field, and taken in by a pastor and his wife. The child, named Blessing, is now thriving, healthy and happy. Another little girl, nine year old Dorcas, has been adopted by one of the pastors and his wife, even though they have children of their own to feed and live sparingly in a very humble two room mud brick house.
*Meeting and ministering to a group of Kenyan and Ugandan "bush" pastors near the Ugandan border who had gathered, many crossing from Uganda, hungry to hear the Word given us for them. One pastor who acted as interpreter for us had been shot with a machine gun by a man paid to kill him only one month before. Though seventeen bullets penetrated his body, not one of them harmed him, resulting in the hired man's conviction and salvation. What was hard to hear concerning this true story was that the would-be assassin had been hired by so-called "Christian pastors" in a Ugandan village where this evangelist was obviously not welcome.
A very important part of our Kenya ministry trip, for me personally, was an assignment from the Lord given before I left Australia, to deliver a prophetic word to His Kenyan church. Without any prior knowledge on our part, the dates of our trip had been carefully timed by the Holy Spirit to coincide with an important political referendum in Kenya concerning a new constitution for the nation. It was not until well after our travel times had been booked and paid for that we discovered the spiritually strategic timeliness of our visit. Much political unrest was evident in Kenya during our visit, and continues even now. The word for the Kenyan church, given by the Lord to me in the weeks leading up to our departure from Australia, was delivered to church leaders on the last day of our Apostolic/Prophetic Conference in Bikeke, and may be read at

The zebra weren't interested.....

And the baboons were less than friendly....

But the rolling hills of the Rift Valley welcomed us back.

The children were curious............
UNTIL THE PUPPETS ARRIVED!

Children's Church Leader John Omondi quickly made friends with "Joey".

Jodie's video camera wouldn't work......

And the children were oh so camera shy! (Not!)

We came across a broken down volkswagen in the middle of the African bush!

But later it was our turn when one of our tyres went flat near the Uganda border!
