KITALE AND WESTERN KENYA

NOVEMBER/DECEMBER, 2004

Mount Longonot

Grain Fields at Mount Elgon

Kenya is a country of huge contrasts and spectacular beauty......

Grass Huts at Mount Elgon

You MIGHT see some strange things

on the roads, though!

MOTOSIET

This lovely young girl was one of the many children who welcomed us to Motosiet.

Bush pastors share lunch.

These smiling women from the church at Motosiet, cooked us a traditional Kenyan lunch.

Worshipers sing and dance to the Lord

at Motosiet.

Brand new baby "Jennifer" was born during our conference and named after one of our team.

Children line up outside the mudbrick church to have their photograph taken.

PREACH CHRIST CENTRE, GATUA

Ps. Albett Onyango and one of our team street preaching at Gatua.

A group of widows being cared for at

Preach Christ Centre.

Even worship leader Protus couldn't resist our puppets "Roo" and "Kookie".

This little girl had "Roo" figured out in no time.

Children at Preach Christ Centre check out "Kookie" Kookaburra to see if he's the real thing.

SHIMO LA TEWA

The approach to the village of Shimo La Tewa proved to be a challenge.

This widow in Shimo La Tewa is terminally ill. Who will care for her four children?

We visited and prayed with the family in their tiny mud brick home in the village of Shimo La Tewa.

Two of our team talk with a small boy in impoverished Shimo La Tewa.

MARINDA

Pastor John Lumumba Shikokoti (far right) stands with some of the children in front of the Marinda Church building in rural Western Kenya, not far from the Uganda border.

Some of the children in the remote village of Marindahad never seen white-skinned people previous to our visit.

Some of the leaders from Kitale taking time for a snack outside the church in Marinda, while local children watch.
