Women for the Nations was born out of a prophetic vision received on 18 August 2000. The vision is shared below as it was recorded on that day.
Great South Land Ministries was established in 1996 by Peter and Cheryl McGrath and you are invited to visit our main website for further information about our fields of ministry. Helping raise and release women of God who have been securely established in the Word of God, activated by the Holy Spirit and sent forth by the Lord Jesus Christ, continues to be a strong area of focus for GSLM. We are also involved in other areas of ministry, as described on our website, wherever the Holy Spirit leads.
Women for the Nations Vision, 18 August, 2000
As I awoke on the morning of 18 August, 2000, I could hear in the Spirit the phrase " equipping women for the nations". I heard the phrase several times. Later as I was in prayer, I found myself in the Spirit, standing in a large ballroom in what seemed to be a majestic palace, very high and remote in mountainous terrain. The Lord Jesus was there waiting for me, dressed in an elegant suit, as if attired for a wedding. I was dressed as a bride, and we danced together, after which He led me out to a balcony, very high up, where we overlooked the entire world. I could see mountains, seas and many nations. He then said to me "All these My Father has given Me." I said, "Yes Lord, the nations are Your inheritance." He then turned and said He would like me to help Him, but I didn't comprehend what He meant. He then said "Take your hands off your ears." I then realised I was standing with my hands over my ears. (Earlier on I had actually asked Him not to talk to me about whatever 'equipping women for the nations' might mean and had physically placed my hands over my ears. With much turmoil going on in my life at that moment, I just wanted to be in His Presence but not to have to think about anything else He might want to say to me.)
So I removed my hands from my ears and then He said "Will you help Me?".
"Yes Lord".
We then walked back inside the ballroom but now He was dressed more traditionally as a Jewish teacher of Bible times. The ballroom had previously been empty but was now filled with women and girls of all ages and all types. There were little girls, teenage girls, babies in arms, young mothers, middle-aged and elderly women. There were women and girls from many cultures and from all kinds of backgrounds. I noticed among them witches, lesbians and many other alternative lifestyles. I knew as I looked around that many, many of these girls and women had been abused in some way or another, but I also knew there was a tremendous strength in them that could not be seen by the world. I gazed at this multitude of women and noticed they were still entering the room, pouring in from the steps outside that led up the outer side of the castle. I could not number them.
I looked at the Lord and He simply said "All these My Father has given Me. Will you help Me?" He then continued talking, saying He had been waiting a long time to see His daughters released and He was excited about sending them into the nations. As He was saying this I could see in the Spirit great companies of women being sent out in all directions into the nations of the earth, preaching, teaching, healing, and some of them dying for Him.
I was feeling a little overwhelmed, but He then said "The time is not yet. When the times comes you will be given all you need to do the job well." End of vision.
Since receiving that prophetic vision in the year 2000, the vision of Women for the Nations has mostly lain dormant. I have been involved in other aspects of ministry and family life that have necessarily taken priority. However, the Lord has now opened doors to expand and develop the WFN vision through internet teaching. He has brought other gifted people alongside, including my friend in the U.S.A. Pat Joyce, to help with teaching. Others are assisting with intercession and pastoral care. We are praying for doors to be open to teach women about their Biblical equality in face to face groups. In order to bring women the message of their worth and potential in Christ, I am willing and ready to travel as opportunities may arise.
I believe the Holy Spirit is signalling the time has come for this vision to be pursued and released. If you can help, I would love to hear from you.
